One week in Rothenburg ob der Tauber – Class 7

On Monday morning we took a train to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. We had to ride the train for five hours and then went to the youth hostel and had lunch. In the afternoon we took a walk around town on the city wall.  Then we were allowed to go to the city center by ourselves. At ten o’clock we had to go to sleep.

On the next morning we visited the „Kriminalmuseum“, were we saw how people were punished in the Middle Ages.  In the afternoon we went to the public swimming pool.  That was a lot of fun because we pushed eachother into the pool. At night we went on a tour with the night guard in town. That was very funny and interesting.

On Wednesday we visited the „Reichsstadtmuseum“. A professor showed us many old weapons and other things. It was very interesting. At the end he showed us how to  sword fight with plastic swords. That was great! In the afternoon we went for a hike and took a long break were the boys played soccer and the girls splashed each other in the river.  Then, late at night, some girls wanted to prank the boys but failed and got caught by a teacher from another school. As punishment they weren’t allowed to go into town the next day.
